  • Wednesday, February 5th @ 2-3PM, Northgate Ped/Bike Bridge Groundbreaking, Northgate Station Garage
    The Northgate Ped/Bike Bridge is approaching a major milestone, please join in the celebration! CM Juarez is hosting a groundbreaking event to commemorate construction and to recognize all those who have made this project possible. At the event, you’ll hear from Seattle Department of Transportation Director Sam Zimbabwe, Sound Transit CEO Peter Rogoff, representatives from Washington State Department of Transportation, and key community groups.

    This meeting is devoted to promoting partnerships and information sharing between citizens and law enforcement and justice agencies to effectively address public safety issues.

    Attend a session and learn about how this project will connect communities on the east and west sides of I-5 in north Seattle, review information at your own speed and get one-on-on engagement from project experts, learn about the project schedule and what to expect during construction

  • Monday, January 20th @ 9AM-noon, MLK Day of Service Tree Planting Party in Licton Springs, 85th & Meridian
    Come help us plant some new green in the neighborhood! Volunteers have been working at this site for the past couple of years to remove blackberry that was blanketing this site. Now we are ready to replace these with trees that will grow and benefit the entire neighborhood. Join us! Tool and gloves provided, no experience necessary.     Come join us at Mineral Springs Park on Saturday, December 21st from 1PM to 4PM for a FREE holiday event including music, holiday card-making activities, festive games, hot beverages and snacks. Bring winter clothing items for donation to Aurora Commons. Musical Performances By: Seattle Sugarplum Elves from 1:30PM-2:30PM, The High Class Brass from 2:30PM-3:30PM. All are welcome! Event will be rain or shine!

    Informal networking with law enforcement and community members follows the Captain’s precinct update as time permits.

  • Saturday, December 7th @ 10AM, Licton Lights, Licton Springs Park
    Please visit Licton Springs Park to enjoy the holiday lights between 12.7.19 and 1.11.20. Lights will be on from 4:30-10:00 daily. We will string lights on Saturday 12.7.19 at 10 AM. Come out to help or donate LED lights.

  • Thursday, December 12th @ 7PM, ALUV Monthly Meeting, Lantern Brewing
    Join us as we celebrate our WINS for 2019, including 1) installation of art on pedestrian bridge 2) D5 Rising neighbor award 3) $150,000 in the 2020 budget for a community center feasibility study.

    Walk the Licton Springs Park path and meet friends of the forest with treats. Free hot cider and music at the playground. All are welcome to this community event.     Join NHL Seattle and Northgate Mall on October 1st from 5pm - 7pm PT to learn about the plans for NHL Seattle's future headquarters. Attendees will have the chance to look at renderings, ask questions and speak to NHL Seattle representatives. Attendees will also be able to win prizes from Northgate retailers and NHL Seattle! Light refreshments will be available for those in attendance.

  • Friday, October 4th & October 18th @ 8-10am, Cascadia Community Weeding, Cascadia Elementary 1330 N. 90th St. Seattle, WA 98103
    The grounds around Cascadia need some sprucing up and we need lots of help! Last year focused on weeding and mulching the beds around the parking lot. This year will continue last year’s efforts and expand to the beds all along Wallingford Avenue. Join the fun! Meet outside the school after drop-off on Friday, and we’ll make things better than we found them. Bring your own weeding gear if you have it—if not, we have tools you can use. No experience necessary! This is a great opportunity to pitch in for the greater good, build some community, and help make our school beautiful!

  • Wednesday, October 9th @ 6PM, N. Precinct Public Meeting, Washelli Chapel
    This public meeting will be led by the North Precinct Captain (via Q & A forum style) with SPD, and other local agencies to discuss crime and safety issues that are impacting Aurora businesses and homeowners. All are welcome to attend. Please join us and hear about what work Seattle Police has been doing Aurora.

    New Small Efficiency Dwelling Units (SEDU's) planned for the site at 9300 Linden Ave behind the CubeSmart Self Storage facility. The design team from Jackson Main architecture will be holding a public meeting to solicit feedback from the community to help inform the design and create the most effective building for the site and neighborhood.
