Funding Secured for ALUV Community Center Feasibility Study!

You can join ALUV in celebrating this win (along with many others) on Thursday, December 12th from 7PM to 8:30PM at Lantern Brewing. Find the Facebook event here.

Call to Action: ALUV Community Center Feasibility Funds

We wrote about the need for an Aurora-Licton Urban Village community center earlier this year. Now, we could use your help in letting the city council know about the need for funding for a feasibility study in the 2020 budget. The Licton Springs Community Council voted in support of this initiative.

Public Hours for Cascadia Elementary Playground

We received some questions from neighbors about the public hours for the Cascadia Elementary playground. We learned from the Licton Springs Community Council that the playground is expected to be open to the public in the evenings after school lets out (2:30PM) during the week and on weekends. Occasionally, there may be times when it's closed to the public for school based events. The playground gate can be locked by accident but if it is locked you can call SPS Safety and Security at 206.252.0707 and request that they unlock it.

As a follow-up, we are looking into the public hours for the track. Do you know them? Let us know in the comments!
